About Us
Slaughterhead is the husband and wife team of Joey Slaughter and Jessica Head. We live in Ruston, Louisiana with our 3.5 yr son, Sylas, and infant daughter, Eero.
We make fun, functional and durable wallets, pouches and bags. We use pvc-free 100% urethane for our exteriors, and re-purposed linens for our linings. This endeavor began with a wallet Jessica made for Joey on his birthday 6 years ago, and has grown to include 2 bifold wallet styles, 2 large pocketbook wallet bodies, 3 whatnot pouch sizes, and an assortment of bags. Our online store, slaughterhead.com, was begun by Joey in 2006. Our present site was designed by constantX.
Joey is a painter, a Studio professor at LA Tech and a graduate of Cranbrook and Memphis College of Art. He is inspired by toys, things that fly and how-to manuals.
Jessica is a graduate of ULM in Studio Art. She is inspired by growing things, feeding birds and efficiency.
Together we enjoy home improvement projects, listening to and making music, dance parties in the kitchen, cooking, parenting and occasional grown-up weekends.
We love and believe in what we make. We hope you do, too.

I got a Super Jumbo for Christmas in ‘08. I’m still using it and it looks like new! I’ve got to say it’s the best wallet I’ve ever had EVER! And the fact that it’s one of a kind makes it even more special. Love, love, love this wallet! I have a few other Slaughterhead products in my closet, also (tshirts, purses, and whatnots). Those are totally rad, too. They are the best!

I got my wallet today and needless to say, it’s perfect! I had my mom make me a wallet type thing before to carry my plane tickets and passport. However, this wallet will make things way easier since I can fit those things and more into it…much less digging around! With 3 years of vet school left, and what seems like an endless number of flights, you’re wallet will be getting tons of use. Looking forward to my next order from you…
